Doctrinal Statement

  by Jerry D. Kaifetz, Ph.D.

I believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writing, and is the only infallible rule of faith and practice

I believe in one God eternally existing in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

I believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and is true God and true Man. I believe in the deity and personality of the Holy Spirit.

I believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature.

I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, in voluntary substitution of Himself in the sinner's place, and that all who believe in and receive Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood, and kept by Him unto eternal life, and can never be lost.
I believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His ascension into Heaven, and in His present position there for us as High Priest and Advocate.

I believe in the personal, visible, pre-tribulational, pre-millennial return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I believe that the Holy Spirit convicts and regenerates the sinner, at the time of regeneration baptizing the believer into the one Body of which Christ is the head; and that He indwells, guides, instructs, fills and empowers the believer.

I believe that the manifestation of the Holy Spirit is given to each man according to God's will, and that one should not necessarily seek or expect any particular sign of the filling of the Holy Spirit.
I believe that every child of God in this life has two natures, with provision made for the victory of the new nature over the old nature through the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit.

I believe that the local church is a group of baptized (immersed) believers who meet together regularly for fellowship, prayer, and edification; and that water baptism and the Lord's Supper are ordinances to be observed by the church during this present age, but that they are not to be regarded as means of salvation.

I believe the mission of the Church is to go into all the world, to make disciples of all nations, and to teach them to do those things which the Lord has commanded in His Word.

I believe in the reality and personalities of Satan and his demons.

I believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, the eternal life of the saved, and the eternal separation from God and conscious punishment of the lost in a place called Hell.
I believe that whosoever will, may be saved and that men go to Heaven or Hell as a matter of their own choosing and not as a result of the irresistible grace of a sovereign God.

I believe that God commands tithes and offerings, according to Scripture, to provide for His ministries.

I believe that God created all things in six 24 hour days approximately 6 to 10 thousand years ago. Also, I believe in Noah's world wide flood, not a local flood.
